Zakhele Madida was born on May 26, 1980, professionally known as Zakes Bantwini, is a South African singer, record producer and businessman.
conceived in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He has teamed with Black Coffee, another musician, on the song “Juju.”
Early Life and Education
In the KwaMashu F-section of the province of KwaZulu-Natal, Zakhele Madida was born and nurtured.
He attended Nqabakazulu High School after attending Shayamoya Junior Primary School. He had his first child when he was 14 years old.
He continued to complete his matriculation despite the difficulties of being a teenage father.
After graduating from high school, he continued his studies at Natal Technikon (now known as Durban University of Technology), where he earned a national certificate in light music. It was also during his final year at this institution that he founded his own record label, Mayonie Productions.
Madida graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban with a diploma in jazz and music performance.
