Prof Olumuyiwa Odusanya Biography
Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya is a former provost of the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, and a professor of public and community health.
Mr. Odusanya will succeed Oluremi Olaleye, who holds a PhD in microbiology and is currently the Lagos State Polytechnic’s substantive Rector after being appointed in an acting capacity in March.
Out of more than 20 “eminently capable academics” who were supposedly headhunted by the search committee, Mr. Odusanya was chosen for the new position.
In September 2021, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, a professor of physiology, was named vice chancellor of Lagos State University. Mr. Odusanya, director of research and innovation at LASU, was one of the most well-known candidates for the vice chancellor position.
Mr. Odusanya was employed by LASU and was named the VC of LASUSTECH on September 29, 2022.

On February 8, 1965, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya was born. Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya is a graduate of the University of Lagos at Akoka with a Master’s in Public Health.
