He was reported to have passed away early on Friday in the Lagos region of Ikeja.
According to reports, Sanyaolu, a former youth leader for the APC in Lagos, was engaged in an accident that happened close to the army cantonment in Maryland, Ikeja.
Seye Oladejo, a spokesperson for the Lagos APC, reportedly confirmed the death in a statement.
The former state youth leader Omotayo Sanyaolu, who was the senior special assistant to the state governor on tertiary education, youths, and student affairs till his death, passed away unexpectedly, the Lagos state APC regrets to say.
“Tayo was a devout party youth leader who demonstrated that he was an excellent mobilizer and excelled in all of his tasks.
He will be dearly missed by the entire party, family, friends, and well-wishers, especially at this time. May he rest in peace, his soul.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, was hailed as a “loyal, committed, hard-working, and passionate co-worker in the Greater Lagos agenda” in a statement by Gboyega Akosile, his principal press secretary.
“Losing a loved one is always difficult since there is no way to make it better, but we must give thanks to God that Omotayo Sanyaolu had a beneficial influence during his brief but adventurous live.
As a Youth Leader, he dedicatedly and successfully served our party, the APC, and helped it win numerous elections, according to Sanwo-Olu.
“Tayo’s contribution to the Greater Lagos agenda as my Special Assistant on Tertiary Education, Youth, and Student Affairs was significant. He made a constructive contribution to state concerns involving children and students.
“I feel sorry for his widow, kids, siblings, friends, and the rest of the family, as well as for Lagos State and the APC family,” he said.
