Covenant University: The Institution Prohibits Students From Wearing “All Black” Attire In Order To Discipline Defaulters

Covenant University

The administration of Covenant University (CU) has issued a warning to its students, asking them to refrain from dressing entirely in black while on campus starting with the fall semester.

The private university emphasized that any student who made a mistake would be disciplined and stated that black clothing could only be matched with other colors.

These were made public by CU on its website, which SleekNaija spotted on Sunday. It also stated that students were not permitted to wear Brogues shoes.

Social media users have been discussing the development since many kids at the schools seemed to be unhappy with it.

“All students should know that pairing a black shirt or top with black pants or a black skirt is not permitted beginning with the next session,” the statement read. Only other colors can be worn with black material.

Also take note that “Brogue” shoes are strictly forbidden, thus all pupils are required to refrain from wearing them. Students who make mistakes will receive the proper punishment.

According to the most recent ranking by the National Universities Commission, Covenant University, which is located in Ota, Ogun State, is the finest private university in Nigeria (NUC).
