Bishop Mark Kariuki is the Presiding Bishop/General Overseer of Deliverance Churches Kenya in addition to being a Kenyan preacher, writer, and televangelist.
He is also a member of the African Council of Apostles, the moderator of Kenya’s interreligious council, and the former chairman of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya (EAK).

Early Life and Education
Mark Kariuki was born in Elburgon, Nakuru District, to the family of Daniel and Monica Kariuki.
He had his primary education at Michinda Primary School, Elburgon before proceeding to Koelel High School in Gilgil for his secondary education.
He also enrolled in a two-year teaching program at the esteemed Asumbi Teachers Training College (1973 –1975).

Pastor Joyce Wacera Kariuki and Bishop Mark Kariuki have a loving marriage. After spending two months in the intensive care unit, his first wife, Joyce Wangui Kariuki, passed away in November 2007.
