He succeeds Uche Orji, the first CEO of NSIA, which oversees Nigeria’s sovereign wealth fund, who left the position last Friday after ten years of service.
He served as the Authority’s Executive Director for Subsidiaries and Investment prior to his appointment.
With his prior positions as a Senior Vice-President and Deputy Head, Infrastructure, Umar-Sadiq has extensive experience in investment banking, private equity, and public finance.
Umar-Sadiq has overseen the planning, implementation, and management of crucial domestic infrastructure projects in the power, roads, real estate, healthcare, and agriculture industries since joining NSIA.
He worked in mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley with a focus on the Energy and Utilities industries before to joining the NSIA.
Additionally, he was employed by Denham Capital Management, a private equity fund with a concentration on the oil, gas, and mining industries.
Aminu is an academician from Bauchi State who graduated from Oxford University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering sciences.
